An outdoor picnic was recently organized by YJP in Los Angeles. This was done to bring the Jain community of Los Angeles together and to keep them connected. Details are given below.

The Pratishtha Mahotsav is of Asthapadji, Parshvanath Bhagwan, Rishabdev, Shantinath Bhagwan, Nakoda Bhairavnath, Manibhadraji, Vacchara Dada and Padmavati Devi at Hindu Samaj Mandir, Mahwah, NJ from September 1-3. The Pratishtha will be done under direction of Vidhikar Sashan Ratna Shri Manojbhai Babumalji Haran from India. Program details are available here.

Brother: Yes. After Mahavir, Gautam Swami, Sudbarmacharya, and Jambu Swami were completely omniscient and passionless. The last omniscient of this era was Jambu Swami.

Sister: Was Jambu Swami also a prince like Mahaveer Swami?

Brother: No sister, he was the son of a wealthy merchant of Rajgriha. His father was Arahdas and mother Jinmati. He was born on the last day of the Falgun month.Jambu Kumar occupied an important place in the court of King Shrenik and the contemporary community. Many wealthy persons of the city wanted to offer their daughters to Jambu Kumar in marriage and four such girls were already betrothed to him, but...

YJP UPDATE

On July 28, 2018, YJP Los Angeles organized an outdoor picnic to bring the Jain community of Los Angeles together and feel connected. The event took place in the beautiful La Miranda Community Park, where over 60 attendees not only enjoyed music, Jain/Vegan food, social activities, but also had meaningful conversations on Jainism.
